Hello Everyone,

I have read a lot of confusion about the installation of the leaked Blackberry Messenger 5 for Curve users.

I’m here to clarify all the confusion and here is a list of files needed.

Requirements:

• Desktop Manager 5
• Blackberry OS 4.5 Installed on your PC!
• Blackberry Messenger 5 (BBM_4.5.0)

Let’s get started, Please note I will not make this tutorial very long, I will make it simple and fast.

1. Install Blackberry Desktop Manager 5, 4.7 might work as well (If you haven’t done it yet).
2. Install Blackberry OS 4.5 (If you haven’t done it yet).
3. Download Blackberry Messenger 5 by clicking the (BBM_4.5.0) above.

Let’s get the BB Messenger Installed now!

• Unzip BBM_4.5.0.zip and you will get a folder named BB_4.5.0
• Go to Computer or My Computer if using XP and navigate to:

1. IF USING VISTA x64! C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8330-v4.5.0.131_P3.4.0.25\
2. IF USING VISTA 32 OR WINDOWS XP! C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8330-v4.5.0.131_P3.4.0.25\

• Lets open the folder BBM_4.5.0 & navigate until you see “BlackBerryMessenger.alx”
• Right click “BlackBerryMessenger.alx” & click COPY
• Go back to the “8330-v4.5.0.131_P3.4.0.25″ folder and right click, then press PASTE.
• The file “BlackBerryMessenger.alx”, should be visible in that folder now.
• You will see a folder named For_4.5.0 inside the BBM_4.5.0 folder.
• Open it and Copy and Paste all the cod files to the folder “java” that you will see where the .alx file was pasted before.
• You are now all set!

Open the Blackberry Manager 5 and click on App Loader, you will see that Blackberry Messenger is checked along with some other options, but this time Blackberry Messenger says Upgrade.

Click NEXT and the Installation will do the rest.

NOTE: I’M NOT USING THE DEFAULT BLACKBERRY CURVE 83XX THEME AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU BACKUP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE MAKING ANY UPGRADES/CHANGES.

This will be my new home from now on with the exception of special sites that I will keep updating along with this new blog site of mine.

The name Flixelar came out of no where and I started searching for similar words, but I could NOT find anything better so I decided to give it a try and see if the domain was available and taa daa it was. Now it is all mine!

I hope you find my personal blog easy to read and understand.

To my family that speaks spanish there will be a special category just for them.. of course all in spanish!
