Follow up on World of Warcraft Case!

01/27/2010 in Inspiration, Reviews, world of warcraft by Jonathan

Hello All!

Yes, I’m still dealing with all this problems but I’m a little bit more relieved right now because I was able to communicate with a game master and even thought they have no access to the administration department, he was able to confirm to me that my case is still in the queue list and waiting to be restored.

What I don’t understand is that my account was sent to the restoration specialist and to those who have no idea what that is, it is the department that all clients are forwarded to when their accounts are hacked and their toons deleted and/or stripped. That way the specialists can restore the account, toon a.k.a character and the items the toon had before getting hacked.

My character is perfectly fine and it wasn’t stripped nor it was deleted, that’s my issue.. they are delaying all this because of the restoration and I don’t even need it.

I did lost a couple of gold but not much to have the account still suspended and I don’t think it is worth waiting already 2 weeks for some loosely gold that I could of have gotten back by now.

I do understand that they banned the account to protect me, but that doesn’t mean anything because it has been 2 weeks since the account was banned and there’s no news or an eta on when the account will be unsuspended/unbanned.

The WoW forum is completely full of reports from hacked accounts, spammers and trollers who doesn’t help at all but they still post and some get suspended from posting but obviously like always, some stay and keep trolling to make things worst and even more when I have no patience to be playing with little boys and girls when I’m trying to get the status of my account.

Anyways, last night I got an email from a Game Master and the following was said to me:

Well met,

Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.

I apologize for being unable to address your petition while you were still online. Your account has already been referred to our specialists for restoration, and I have verified that you are still in our queue. Currently, the full restoration process is taking about a week, at which time you will be contacted by a specialist who can answer any further questions you have at that time. Please bear in mind this is a time estimate, and is based on our current queue. It may take longer, or it could also be addressed sooner than anticipated!

In the meantime, please make sure to scan the computer system you are using to remove all viruses, Trojan files, and key loggers. It is important to note that simply scanning your computer for viruses is not necessarily enough; please be sure to run a spyware removal tool for the sake of extra security. You can find links to such tools through the security site offered hereafter.

For more computer/Internet security tips, please visit http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21131. In addition, World of Warcraft account passwords should be periodically changed by visiting https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding throughout the investigation process.

Should you require further assistance, please submit another help request the next time you are online. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!

Did you read the email carefully?

GM: I apologize for being unable to address your petition while you were still online.

How can they catch me online if the account is still banned? It makes no sense and sometimes it makes me think if they actually read the messages or have some kind of smart bot(Like cleverbot) that reads and reply with the closest auto canned message possible.

I replied to that wowgm email asking why my account was not unbanned while I was waiting to be restored, because always and I mean always the accounts are unbanned for the customer to continue playing the game. The restoration doesn’t affect your playing time and you can be playing the same toon and the restoration can be taking place. They then send an email asking you to relog into the game and your items are back like a miracle. But this ISN’T my case.

I’m in the queue list and my account is still banned.

I was surprised to get a reply after 6 hours when it usually takes more than 72 hours to get a reply to an In-Game GM Ticket.

Greetings!

Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.

Your petition has been forwarded to a supervisor in order to further assist you. Your concerns will be addressed as soon as possible; and, your patience is appreciated while awaiting additional analysis. Please do not delete, edit, or re-submit your original ticket, as it contains essential information needed by our supervisors.

Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Okay… I can’t reply to that email as it was sent from a donotreply email address and why did I bolded that sentence?

Please do not delete, edit, or resubmit your original ticket, Uh? What? Que?

How can I edit a ticket if we are communicating through email address and not an actual ticketing system? that makes even less sense to me.

What do you think about the farewell? I would never use that word because it makes me feel like they are saying goodbye to me, but that’s just me.

I know you love my blog entries! :P
